I just bought a 1 GHz Celeron proc., a MIS board an NVidia 32 AGP, and a case (bare bones system. I was going to gut my son's older computer and put in the hard drive, CD drives and floppy and memory. I have everything plugged in so now for the test.

I hear the memory clicking up but no beep and there is no display. The memory is fine and works in another machine. The memory is 168 pin (133MHz) dimm. (2 64MB chips.) There is also a small green DIMM light (on the MBoard) that lights up when plugged in.

I have checked the board to make sure it is not shorting out or touching the case. I have unhooked everything and rehooked only the hard drive, the AGP card. still no luck or beep.

could it be the processor? or the AGP card?

Thanks for the help.

Have you checked through youre CMOS for any settings regarding the video card. Often you will have to specify wheher you have an AGP card or a PCI card. Hope this helps.
