hello all, ive just put a amd athlon 2500+ in this computer was a 2100+ everything works fine havent changed anything which is probably a bad thing i donno, my main concern though is that my system tray says that the cpu is unknown any ideas.

Edit: it isnt running fine, just logged an online game and its very slow will change back till i know more :(

Are you sure that Mother board and Bios supports that new speed CPU ?
Is the Bios set to auto detect or is it jumpered to 2100 ?

You may want to download and flash the Bios update ..
Double check the mother board settings
