HP external DVD Writer and N.Ghost
HI all!
Problem is -after loading Ghost in cmd,it can't see external HP dvd420e writer.
It onley recognize internal CD RW.
How should i back up partition, if i have no access to DVD RW from Ghost?
Thanks.

If your drive is partitioned you could make an image of C into D: and vic-versa and then copy the ghost image over to your extrenal drive. Or you could try the link below.

If you need to restore the image you can use the following to restore direct from your USB drive. I have not actually tried this out yet as I only found a short while ago

Thanks but link above does not works and i have only C: partition, so for me is necessary to see external drive from Ghost.

When you use ghost to make an image, make sure that you use the option to allow external USB devices to be recognised. It could be that you need to make a DOS disk for ghost and take it from there. I'm going to be doing the same thing myself shortly - just got to get the external dvd drive.
One of the main things is to use the drive DIRECTLY on the root USB port - don't attach it to a hub, as it won't be properly recognised.
