I have a 50-page document, with some color illustrations, created on Wordperfect Ver 8. When I print this on my HP5L laser printer, it prints OK, except in B&W, since the printer does not handle color. However, when I print this document on my Lexmark X6160 printer, the document gets scrambled, page numbers change, etc. The same thing happened on my previous HP K60 printer.

What may be causing this?

I can handle this by making the color pages of the document into a separate file, then printing them, but this should not be necessary. Any answers?

It is necessary. The file is saved and formatted to match the default printer. When you change the printer, the formatting will change. You can:

1) Leave the document alone and make changes each time you chnage printers.

2) Change printers and make the chnages necessary and save the document in a seperate file.

3) If the document does not change frequently, upgrade WP to version 10 or greater and publish the document as a PDF and you can print it on any printer any time.
