My HP 38920 was working fine. Then it stopped printing. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the HP disk. It says it doesn't even recognize the printer. I've taken off the regular cord and connected it with USB cord. Still nothing. I've uninstalled, reinstalled. It shows the printer as there on the list of printers but the CPU and printer just won't communicate.

What shall I try next?

Can you test the printer in other computer? This would isolate the problem to the pc or the printer, I think.
