I have a Sony Vaio PC model PCV-RS400. It is saying I am "at risk" with most of my hard drive used up. It says I only have 14GB's and that 13.1 is taken up.
I'm not computer geek, so I don't know a lot...but I know my Vaio which is only a year old should have more than a 14GB hard drive.
Can anyone help?

Did you check the specifications of You're PC to see just what the capacity of your hard drive is? I'm not sure, but there may still be some computers sold these days with a 14GB hard drive.

In went into My Computer and it says 14GB. I can't locate my paperwork that came with the purchase. Is there another area I can go into to see what it has?
But what could be taking up all that space?
I wouldn't think I have that much stuff.

If you go to http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html and get Belarc Advisor it will tell you your drive size and how much free space you have. Among other things.
And welcome to the PcGuide. :)

Yes--Belarc is a good utility and will give you a lot of information about your computer.
Does Belarc come with any spyware? I installed it, and soon after mcaffe spotted ViewMgr.exe trying to access the internet. I did a search and it's an advertisive program. I think Belarc came bundled with it, but could be sure?

According to a Google search your Sony came with a much bigger HDD than 14g:

It should have come with 120g HDD 7200 RPM
View Manager might have come with something, I found it in my ZA free, had blocked all outgoing packets for it.

Belarc should be clean - especially downloaded from their site but if you have some uninvited guests perhaps there are others in there too and that you should be checking for spyware, viruses, trojans and the like. Was the PC working normally up to this point.
Assuming you are using WinXP with a 1yr old pc - try RClicking MyComputer and selecting Manage. Then open disk management and see how the full layout of your pc is described there.
PS (in case the structure of your system is still unclear)
If you are running Win2K/XP download ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/tools/pq/utilities/PartInNT.zip
or if Win9X/ME download ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/tools/pq/utilities/PartIn9x.zip
Unzip and run to see all the partition and hard drive information on your system.
