Yeah I'm a little late to the game, but I'm finally hoping to buy a digital camera. I need it mainly to photograph items I'm selling online (and that don't fit on my scanner glass) -- Record Albums, Movie Posters, etc. Of course I'd like to use it as a snapshot camera as well, but that isn't its main use for me. I'd obviously like to get clear photos with much detail of posters and records and am not sure what specifications I should look for. And, of course, I'm piss poor so I have to go as cheap as is feasible. Could any of you recommend a camera that fits my criteria?

Don't know how much they cost where you are, but the Sony Cybershot is a decent little camera. It's got bugger all in the way of a zoom but does decent resolution images, and is quite compact.

I recently got a Canon A75 for $218 at newegg. At 3.2 megapixels it's good for snapshots, and I use it for online selling also.
