Hai I am anizham395. I installed FIFA 2001 in my computer and when I started the game , it wouldn't start and it showed an error:

Please insert the correct CD-ROM,select OK and restart aplication.

I did as instructed and the same error is shown again.

I also installed NFS 5 and gain the same error is shown.

When I put any game CD into the drive and try to run it this type of error is shown , so now I can't play any game.

I have a Windows 98 system with a Samsung CD-ROM SC-152C.My CD-ROM drive is G:

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME,PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Any other problems with this cd-drive? Do you also have a cd burner? Have you tried running the games from there? What is NFS 5? Any other recent hardare or software changes?

No,i don't have a cd burner and there are no other problems with this CD drive.NFS 5 is Need For Speed 5.

Is your computer recognizing the contents of the drive? I am assuming that you have your cd drive set up for autorun. Try starting the games manually. This won't solve your problem but it will narrow it down.

One other quick question...are these retail copies and have you tried the disks on another machine?

MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED.


I changed the drive letter of my CD Drive from G: to H:
and I reinstalled all the games and the problem got solved.

But I still don't understand what the problem was?

Can anyone tell me what the problem might have been?
