When I try to use the scanner (Epson Perf. 636u), example in paper port, it will scan the doc, but once finished the twain driver closes by itself, didn't before. And the doc is nowhere to be found. When I try to scan again get the message "rpc server not available". Any ideas?

Check on the makers website for updated drivers. The ones you have are most likely incompatible with SP2.
