On bootI get a checksum error and a floppy media not found replace and strike any key (I can't find a key that says any :p ).Then I get a message as follows:
AUTOLOAD AWDFLASH.EXE
ERROR AWDFLASH.EXE NOT FOUND
REPALCE DISK AND HIT ENTER.
New battery-reset CMOS -same issues. unplugged devices with same errors.
I do get a two tone beep without the A: drive attached and 4 beeps at post attempt.Cannot access CMOS even after clear cmos-only get the above message. As always much love to those of assistance.

AWDFLASH.EXE is the Award BIOS Flash Utility, used when updating BIOS. It's usually loaeded by floppy drive, which is why it wants you to replace the disk. Why it's getting that error message I"m not sure, but I really hope the machine wasn't rebooted during a BIOS update...

Checksum error means either POST sees no BIOS or changes have been made that prevent booting any further. 95% of the time it means a bad CMOS battery. The other 5% is when it really means bad news...no BIOS, bad flash, corrupt chip...maybe other things.
