I you can see there been a few post on this notebook pc. It is almost complete and thanks all for help. Anyway i ended up installing win xp pro on this notebbok presario 1655 laptop pc the the only problem i have from completion of this project is the modem does not work. Error message says(the device is disable because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources CODE29). Anyway i tried disabling and restarting the pc, I tried give it irq 3 and 4 which is the only one that it will give an option for. I went to loook at drivers for it and I saw a few post on help compaq presario 56k-df wont work with win xp pro. but I could not see the replies. does anyone have any clues on how to get it to work here.
