So my first, probably last thread.
(Just searched on google and here i am)

I know what the problem is. Ok, sometimes that doesn't get through to some people. I Already know what the problem is. k?

All I need is a fix.

*************************************
Going to setup a linux box for classes. Using old 1 gig processor and geforce 4 g-card, yaddi yaddi...... anyways.... my motherboard is grounding to the case causing No Post . When the motherboard is in the case, i get not post, beep, nothing. Just fans spinning, heat sink heating up. WEll, when I take the motherboard out of case while sideways, still connected to PSU, I set it on top of some nonconductive material i.e. my radeon 9800 box, it went through POST and worked correctly.

an obvious question could be... Checking the case mount standoffs to see if they are lining up correctly with the mounting holes on the motherboard.
(well they are)

Anyone know what to do in this situation?

I have rubber mounts used with HD casings for better stability while they are running. Now, this might seem like a good idea, but if the mobo ever touches the tower, it will crash while running....... and i don't want that.

So ideas are appreciated

Welcome to the PC Guide forums.

I would put electrical tape or non-conductive spacers on the case where the screws hold the MB.
This site forum is about helping others with problems also, not just receiving help, if you can contribute to fixing problems feel free to hang around.

Ok, bad PSU could also short it out.
