Need more background info here. Did the PC suddenly do this out of the blue? Have you been messing with it lately? Did you pull it out of storage after 3 years to discover this problem? Have there been any "accidents" to this machine? Have you tried clearing the CMOS?

Was the old video card removed completely from Device Manager, preferablt in Safe Mode, were the drivers for the new one installed correctly. If the older video was onboard, was it disabled in BIOS and/or by a motherboard jumper?

And what OS are you running?

it was working.. but then one day.. it jst suddenly.. became like that.. when i turn on my pc, nothing happends.. the monitor jst stays black.. the orange light on the monitor wont go green.. i think that the monitor isnt receiving any signal from the vcard..

im running WindowS XP... i havent tried clearing the CMOS.. maybe ill try that.. what will happen if i cleared the CMOS?

No onboard video here, and you tried another known working vid card. So, next step is try your vid card in another computer - if it doesn't work, I think we found our culprit. If it does, we have more testing to do...

..so what I did was.. i cleared the CMOS but still nothing happends..

Since I badly need my computer, I borrowed a motherboard (ASUS P2B-F) and used it on my PC.. the thing was it worked! ..but it has some vcard problem.. my GeForce2 is faulty.. so, I changed it with my other AGP card.. and finally, my PC is back to normal.

i think the culprit was the mobo and the vcard.. anyways, thanx for the reply guys! :)
