I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box so please bear that in mind when dealing with me..I'm not even sure this is the proper forum but I guess we will find out.I've had my computer a little over 3 years now and it has always done pretty well.Lately I'll be surfing around the net and after a while it gets to where it won't load pictures on the pages..shortly thereafter it wont load pages at all..it gives me the page not found error page.I have to reboot and then it's OK for a while then it all repeats.I have started going into the internet options and turning the view pics thing off and it works a lot better..but it's a pain because..well I can't view pics.Just my rough layman's guess is maybe there is some kinda memory cache or something that gets full..but I really have no idea.I don't know what else to tell you guys..I use IE 6..it's a Pentium II 350 mhz.Anybody have any ideas?I would really appreciate any help you folks can send my way.
Ok, in Internet Options there is a setting for the temporay Internet files....there should be a "Clear" and a "settings" tab....first click the clear tab and then the settings and see what it is set for.........

I cleared them out.
It said 63mbs are reserved
Also the box below the temp Internet Files...the history box should be cleared, and probably set to keep no more than about a week, less if you seldom use the History function to return to previously visites sites. I keep my Temp Internet Files down to about 5 to 10MB and under the advanced tab in Internet Options the should be a box in the security section "Empty temp Internet Files on exit" (or something similar), I check that also, helps prevent too much from building up in the cache...
