I'm having problem turning off my computer. I can boot up and shut down my computer fine but the power continues to run. At first, I was fixing my floppy drive because it won't read the disk then I took it off and check the inside and put the cables back on. Next thing I knew the computer won't boot up, no power at all. I check the connectors of the floppy drive, unplug and plug, I also noticed the motherboard got loose from its casing. So I tighten it up and then plug all the cables back and when I plug the power cord, there was power, the fan was running even if I have not press the power switch. I also noticed that there was a tiny LED lighting up close to the P1 power connector on the motherboard. I have no problem booting up and shutting down the computer everything seemed to be working as far as OS is concern . It just doesn't want to turn off the power without unplugging the power cord. Any suggestion will be very much welcome. Thanks...

Hmm vibrate lips together, shrug shoulders, shack head.

Are you sure the cables are not backwards?
you did make sure the power switch did not come loose?
you grounded your self for static eletricity?
When you say the mobo was loose were the washers still in place when you fastened it back?
And the power was off every time you went into the case?
becouse it sounds like something may have shorted out or reset.
have you got a volt meter or ohm meter handy look see if your getting power to the switch?

Yes, I double checked the cables properly, I'm actually using an anti-static wrist band w/c is grounded to the metal too, washers were intact, i just tighten the screws. Primarily I checked all the connectors including the power switch and i'm pretty sure i unplugged the power cord each time i touch the computer. I figured it shorted out too bad i don't have a volt meter...
