Have just built another pc, partitioned and formated as normal, then loaded windows as normal,But windows locks at tutorial screen every time it starts up.
Has anyone got any idea what is going wrong.I am disabled and housebound and need this pc to work.

Try booting up with just the video card, might have a resource conflict.

Yep, there is a hardware conflict somewhere. Diurnal has nailed this one.

Oh and if you have tried overclocking by increasing the FSB, back it off to where it's supposed to be. In fact, you could even underclock a wee bit, just to get everything loaded.

Welcome johan....

Was this a brand new, unused, hard drive when you installed
Windoz on it? Or had it previously had an O/S and data?

Maybe dealing with some corruption issues during the install.

Get back to us if you can.

Luck.
