I recently had my PC upgraded with a Intel P3 1ghZ 133, ASUS TUV4X motherboard, GEFORCE2 MX400 64MB, Generic PCI sound card and 512MB of rams. The problem I am getting is that whenever I try to restart my PC it hangs during the reboot. What could be the problem? If any of you have any advise I am open to hear them.

Does it hang before or after it checks the A/Drive? and are you running Norton AV?

Sylvie,
What was the order of events? You mentioned that you recently had the PC upgraded hardware wise...when did the XP install take place in the chain of events?
If you had this done in a shop and they added the XP I would certainly take it back and have them set things in order. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

WinXP was already installed when I took my PC to the shop for the upgrades but I forgot to mentionned that I also had all my data transfer to a brand new Hard drive (that was done at the shop). The problem started when I brought it back home. I had to reinstall a couple of drivers for my USB printer and my Palm. Then when all was done I thought I would restart my PC and to my surprise it just would hang there. Even the cursor of the mouse would stop thus leading me to believe that the system had stopped responding. I then had to manually reboot the PC myself. So far it has happened every time that I have had to reboot. I try to see if I had any conflicts but I have been unable to find any. On the surface everything seems to be working great so go figure.
Yeah I also have NAV 2002
