hope you can help.Ive put together a new p4 system with a 80g hard drive.if i set the boot up order to cd load win98se when it installs eventually will I get options about partitioning the disc. so I dont loose disc space.
ive done a trial run with an old hard disc 12 g and it installed 98se no problem but no options came up about partitioning.

You will need to do the partitioning before installing Win98, since 98 doesn't include any partitioning options.

You can partition either by using a win98 boot floppy and running fdisk, or by using a third-party utility such as ranish.

You should be able to boot to a Win98 installation CD and choose the same options as a boot floppy diskette including such commands as fdisk.
