On win98se with an HP laserjet 4

Using install printer wizard, I can browse to the printer on the network, but after clicking "finish" I get an error saying the driver hppcl5ms.drv could not be loaded because it or the INF file may be damaged.

I've copied the same .drv file over from a different machine on which the printer works fine and that doesn't solve the problem.

I've also tried using HP's Install Network Printer Wizard software, but it can't even detect the printer on the network.

Any ideas?

Download the driver and install it on LPT1.

After you install the driver.

Start-->Settings Printers--> Rt click on HP, Choose properties and then choose the tab with the ports on it and browse to the new port.
