This occurs mainly with USB printer. (installed hte USB patch from MS to see if it would help but it did not)

Send a job to Print and I get an error about spool32 causing invalid page fault. (This in white box) cancel that and it then gives grey box with the DLL error (module X760.dll at 0002:0000a96c) If I cancel this the printing stops. And I am unable to use printer until I re-boot.
If I leave the second error message alone the job will print, but after shuting down the computer and then re=starting (leaving comp off overnight) I get grey box saying that x number of print jobs are waiting do I want to print or cancel. Have tried 3 different sets of drivers, Got the printer replaced to see if that was what was at fault. Have tried using P\port as well. There is also BANDING (can't think of any other way to describe that) on any photoes that I print. This happened with the original printer as well. So same errors with two different printer and 3 sets of drivers. Xerox have been no use in trying to solve this issue.

How to troubleshoot that error>>

Windows 98
Click Start , point to Programs , point to Accessories , point to System Tools , and then click System Information .

On the Tools menu, click System Configuration Utility .

Click Selective Startup on the General tab, and then click to clear the following check boxes:
Process Config.sys File
Process Autoexec.bat File
Process Winstart.bat File
Process System.ini File
Process Win.ini File
Load Startup Group Items
NOTE : You must reinstall the printer driver when you disable the Win.ini file because the printer and port information is stored in this file.

Click OK , and then quit the System Information tool .

Restart your computer.

NOTE : The clean-boot procedure eliminates the possibility that an antivirus program or another utility is causing the error message. It should also disable any third-party printing software such as Hewlett-Packard Port Monitor or Epson Spooler.

For information about how to clean-boot a Windows 98-based computer by using the System Configuration tool, view the "Narrowing the Focus" section in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Don't deselect the system.ini file!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

You need that for windows to operate!

You can just delete the win.ini file; windows will recreate it-but if you delete or damage your system.ini file you won't be able to boot! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Kinda figured that is what would happen I've been in the same situation and had to drop all with no problems but it is good to be on safe side http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
