one of my dvd drives is showing up in the my comptr. page as a removable media drive(mmc/sd). this is the deal. a few days ago i turned on comptr & both dvdrw/cdrw % my dvd drive were gone. i ran spyware & its clean. did virus scan, clean. opened computer & checked all connections, all cool. did the doug knox fix, & nada. so i restarted & my dvdrw/cdrw is present but the dvd drive (drive letter changed, removable media icon mmc/sd is whats in its place) also the light on the drive in question is active, & unable 2 open drive. well that comes & goes. when the lght is not flashing im able 2 eject the drive mannually & by right clicking on the icon & click eject. device manager also shows the drive as working proper & its reckognizing it by it normal name. ive contacted microsft & they jst run me in circles. can one of you great people pleas help a desprte novice? thanx in advance
