i have recently formatted my hard drive and re-installed windows 98, but for some reason i cant find the right drivers for my system. could anyone please tell me whether i have to get them off the internet. the main problem is the display settings it is only giving me 2 colors and 16 colors and before i had 256 colors and this is what i want. PLUS the last thig is that some of my sound and other stuff is not working because i checked it in the system manager and it says that these devices have a problem. please could someone help me with my simple problem.

Well to start with you need to know what drivers you are looking for...if it is video, is onboard or a video card, same for the sound, etc...

Then go to the manufacturer's site and look for the download area, or your device...then you will be able to find the needed driver. Most driver packages will have some sort of installation instructions, many of them are in .zip format so make sure you a program, like winzip installed.
