My new build wont POST. I have checked and rechecked my connections, reseated everything and still no post. I now have just the cpu installed and correct power and speaker connections but still nothing. I bought the mobo and cpu as a package deal. Been to both manufactures websites and insured compatibility. Here is what I have:

ECS KT600-A mobo
AMD Athlon XP 2700+

Im not sure if maybe my CPU frequency is set wrong but I cant find any info to help me on this. Any suggestions?

Ok. I redid everything and changed a few things and finally got some beeps. My cpu frequency was off. With that done and some beeps, now my RAM is not working. After reading the fine print in the mobo book, it appears that my mobo doesnt support the brand of ram that i have. Does this sound right?

Very well could be...

My suggestion would be to take your motherboard and model # to www.crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com) and follow the directions to see what type of RAM is needed for your board...
