First off I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question. If so please tell me where I should post it.

I need to figure out what motherboard I have in my computer to know what it can be upgraded to and if that is feasible. For the life of me I can not figure out what is installed.

System details
Gateway G6 333C
Celeron 333
64 Mb Ram
66Mhz bus clock
BIOS: American Megatrends, Inc.

Under controllers it has the following
Stand floppy disk controller
Intel 82371AB/EB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller
Primary IDE Controller (dual fifo)
Secondary IDE Controller (dual fifo)
Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller

Can anyone decipher this for me or tell me where else I cna look to find out this info.

Thanks in advance.

Scott

The easiest way to find the exact mother board installed is to open the case and look for identification markings on the board itself.
Make Model numbers and the like.

Easy Fix! Log onto www.wimsbios.com. (http://www.wimsbios.com.) Once there, look for the link for identifying your BIOS. When you first boot you computer a number will show up. Copy that number carefully on a slip of paper. Then using the website, you can find the BIOS and the manufacturer of the motherboard.
