i used to have a voodoo3 pci and it showed up in the bios b4 showing which motherboard cpu etc that i had. i have installed an agp4x nvidia geforce 2 gts but it does not come up in the bios or on screen, i read somewhere that this happens because, but it was a while ago and i cannot rem what it told me to do, if anyone can tell me, i have win98, anit motherboard, 512 meg ram, athlon 1.4 etc. dx 7.0
You can enter your bios and under video display .
If you have the option “Primary display “ pci or agp
Set it to agp and the card info may display during boot.

This may be ok on other posts; but please refrain from such childish actions here at the PCGuide-someone will get around to answering your post in due time; if not then be patient. There are only so many guru's here, and only so many hours in the day.
Now that i've wasted time chatising you; just exactly what is your problem? Are you not able to get into Window's? Is it freezing up before it boots? Or do you just want to see the brief flash of " Nvidia geforce " on the boot screen? If it works; don't monkey with it-Nvidia's BIOS doesn't operate the same as VooDoo's did, so as long as it works, and you can access it's disply properties from Windows, leave well enough alone and enjoy your new more powerful video card.

Also, do you happen to be running ECC memory?
If so that takes a little longer to go through the memory test and you can have upto 30 seconds of black screen while it is doing so......

This is the first time someone has told me that bumping up is childish, you can keep your twat forum, i am not impatient just did not know whether or not people would read back further.

you can keep your twat forum
I dont know about what you did, about bumping. Sometimes it can be irritating to others on the forums. You received a good response and now you insult the whole forums. I think you do not have good judgement now.
