HELP !!! I'm getting an IEXPLORER.EXE error. It keeps pages open that aren't there. Using up my memory. My browser is running too slow. I have Norton Anti Virus Protection but something got into this thing and is driving me nuts. I can go to the task manager and delete these but it's a pain when I'm on this all day long trying to get work out. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

regards,
partsman

Welcome to the PC Guide.
What does the error say?
You say you have nortons, have you ran the updates and done a full virus scan?
Try cutting programs out of the start up, do scan disk, and defrag.
Do a system file check.
You might have to format and start over.
Post back.

Hi partsman and Welcome to the PCGuide.

Which versions of Windows and IE are you using?

Am I right that you mean that pages stay "open" when you try exit IE? eg You can't close these pages. It's confusing because if they are open then it sounds like they must be "there". Could you clarify? and do you know when this problem started?

Have you tried clearing your cache (deleting all your Temporary Internet Files and History from the Tools or View Menu <>Options<>General Tab?
