Asking on behalf of a friend. His problem as follows.

Norton Disk Doctor reports 16 invalid entries in the ActiveX/Com section of the Registry.

My system seems to be working okay, but I am worried about the above. My system occassionally crashes, and this could be the cause.

Does this sound like a serious problem or merely an annoying one?

Is there some way to identify the bad entries? Norton report is silent on their identity.

If I manage to identify them, how do I fix them?

I bet several of them are for ActiveX items that are no longer on his system...like maybe older versions of the Windows update, if you run a registry cleaner it should be able to clean up the ones that are not connected to anything (still on the system)
