View Full Version : Direct3D can't be run: PC rebooted~

Guys, any ideas why my computer restart on it own when I test the Direct3D in dxdiag? I hav the latest Catalyst driver(4.12). I have try installing back my old(came with the card) driver, but the test still can't be completed.

My specs:
P4 2.4Ghz
ATI Radeon 9600XT
256 DDR Ram
40GB MAxtor
Windows XP

What version of DX9 are you using? Try download DX9c from Microsoft and run it again. Also make sure you have at least WinXP SP1 installed as the new ATI Cat installer text said that's minimum requirement.

Yes, I have DX9.0c and windows XP running. Btw, do you guys think its my AGP driver? I downloaded the GART driver from SiS. Installed it, but the driver doesnt seem to change in the device manager section. I mean the date is still on 2003, but the site says the date is 2004-05-11. Is it something wrong with it?
