Dear folks,
I would really appreciate your advice on the following two questions:
1. Whether the RAM is compatible with the motherboard:
- CORSAIR VALUE SELECT VS1GBKIT533D2 DUAL CHANNEL KIT 1024MB 2X512MB DDR2 MEMORY PC2-4200 240PIN DIMM
- ASUS P5GDC-V DELUXE MOTHERBOARD LGA775 INTEL 915G DDR2 DDR PCIE16 2XPCIE 3PCI SATA VID LAN SOUND
2. Will Antec NeoPower 480 PSU fit into Thermaltake Tsunami VA 3000 case? In a couple reviews. I read that the case is pretty tough on the space for PSU. I did my research but still could not figure it out clearly.
Thank you so much!

1) - I don't see why not. That mobo has a few problems with very high or very low capacity modules, but 512MB sticks shouldn't be a problem. But I'm wondering why you're looking at a mobo that has 4 x DDR slots and only 2 x DDR2 slots when you listed DDR2 RAM as a possible choice? Wouldn't it make more sense to get a mobo with 4 x DDR2 slots right away?
2) - As long as the PSU & case are both standard ATX size, they will work together. That's the nice thing about standards, things work. :D Sure, it might be a tight fit to get the PSU in there, but the fact is you can do it, so don't worry.

Thank you.
"why you're looking at a mobo that has 4 x DDR slots and only 2 x DDR2 slots" - I doubt that I would ever need more RAM than that. Even this is more than enough but I liked the features of the motherboard and this determined the choice.
Besides it lookjs like the store I am going to buy a motherboard from does not have an ASUS with 4 DDR2 available http://www.computers-canada.com/redir/frame.html?website=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ncix.com&vendID=19
Thanks.

I'm not saying it's a bad mobo choice, it's just that having both types of RAM slots adds complexity, which can add weird problems, which can be avoided. If possible, call them and ask them if they will sell you a specific mobo. Most online vendors are happy to accomodate you if you're buying all your other hardware from them.

Thanks. I will try but not sure I will find one. I noticed that most LA755 mother boards have both DDR and DDR2. Actually I could not find such a motherboard at Directron.com too.

Really? Weird. They're all over the place at Newegg. Also on manufacturers websites. You might want to take a look.

You are right. I have just found one at Directron: Asus P5GD2 Premium Socket T Motherboard - Memory Dual channel memory architecture, 4 x 240-pin DIMM sockets support max. 4GB DDR2, 533/400 non-ECC memory.
Well, not sure the vendor I am dealing now will cancell the order. Can I live with first one if I just do not use DDR slots? How can they affect it? Thanks.

Oh, you already ordered it? Well then, never mind.
Yes, you can certainly live with it. It just means you have less RAM slots to work with. 1GB may be plenty for now, but if/when you want to upgrade, get ready to dump those 2 x 512MB sticks for a pair of 1GB sticks. If you have 4 DDR2 RAM slots, you could just add more as needed. If you plan to dump that mobo before 1GB of RAM is no longer enough  then forget I ever said anything. :D

Thanks. I will call tomorrow morning to the vendor and will try my luck.
