Hi i have 2 problem i have built a new 1900+ athlon and the first problem is when i go to power the system starts up but the monitor dosnet and then when i switch off and on again its ok any idea's ? The second problen is after awhile when my system is on and i am not using it the monitor goes blank and then if i move the mouse or hit any keys the monitor stays blank so i have to reset my system and ideas i have got my power setting set the same as my old pc and it has not got these problem help would be greatful.

Make sure the video card is fully seated, the monitor's cables are securely connected, and disable all power saving options.
If these do not help, try another video card and monitor. If either work, then replace the bad one.

Also you may want to check under the display properites, advanced on the monitor tab see if the checkbox for "reset on suspend/resume" is checked...and try the opposite.....
