Hello people, I have just finish building a new computer I'm ready to load my OS, but I'm having a problem with my monitor it doesn't show anything I only see a clear screen and the computer don't even check the bios. I see lights on the cd-rom, floppy drive and a LED light for the hard drive. But when I tourn on the computer nothing happends can any one help out I will appreciate any help. I have used two monitor and on both monitors I get nothing. I have installed a ATI xpert2000 32MB AGP CARD for my monitor I need help
Ok any beeps?
Try reseating the video (make sure that uyou can not see any of the little gold tabs sticking out above the slot)....
Also, had something happen to me today, got done working on a machine and took it back to the owner, hooked it up, powered on and no monitor. Ok, start checking everything out, I knew I had tightened the screws......well to make a long story short, I hadn't tightened them enough...the pins where aking contact, but not well enough for the monitor to actually receive a signal.......moral of the story, don't just go by feel, make sure the cable is fully seated and the screw are actually in as far as they will go, probably best to look at it to make sure....
