i got a notebook for Xmas Gericom Ego. German made. I have notice that the 1st few weeks the battery was showing. but now its disappeared on the taskbar. i checked box display on taskbar in the battery options and always show on the taskbar but its not display it.

Can sumone help?

If you are running XP is it possible that the indicator icon is being hidden in the system tray as an unused icon?

Nope, i am running XP Pro. All i installed was Mail Notifer so that can effect it. i was missing before that.

Is the battery icon always missing or only when you have the Notebook plugged into the power outlet? I know my battery only shows in the taskbar when I am running on battery power. Just reaching, but you never know....:)

Always missing even with the Power AC adapter is attach to it it should Show the AC adapter on the Taskbar.

It display a notifcation when its low on power.

I think Pave_Spectre has it.
R-click an open area of the task bar. Click on properties and down near the bottom is a check box next to "Hide inactive icons". If this has a check mark, remove it. If not, let us know.
There is also a "Customize" button there. Might have some big fun with that :D

Tried that its still not working, i unchecked the box. and restarted still no working! :(

I am everywhere the Signal goes.. If there is a Signal I am not far behind..

The answer to your problem... You have Obviously created a "LAN" Or some sort of home network.. Am I correct? If I am, u have enabled show UpNp icons. Am I correct again? If I am, then do this as follows... 1. double click my computer to open it.. 2. there are two sub windows if you look to the left of the new my computer window.. 3. the lower one has a title of "Other Places" below where it says that. It says "network places". go ahead and click on that.. 4. Now look to the left there is two more sub windows. the top sub window title says "Network Tasks" in that sub window down at the very bottom, It says "Hide Icons For UpNp devices" go ahead and click on that.. now it will uninstall that.. then last but not least "PLEASE RESTART WINDOWS". well that is all "The Signal" has to say . hope i fixed yours and everyone who has had and will have this problem..
