I want to hook up an 'old' 5.25 floppy as an external drive to my Laptop.
Has anybody tried this before, how did you do it ? Or any other suggestions on how to do this more than welcome. Cheers ! :confused:

Did you ever get this done? I am trying to hook up external floppy to an Omnibook xe4100. I have the correct ext drive and cable but can't get the laptop to recognize it. I hope I will not have to remove the dsyfunctional internal floppy drive first, because the manual says that you should be a professional repair person or something to do this.
Any advise will be appreciated
