I have installed an SCM PCI Swapbox in my dell 4400 P-IV 2.0 machine which has one HDD 40gb and a CDRW, Zip, and floppy installed. The board (actually 2 boards on one via one single PCI connection) shows up with the 2 controllers (given this thing is type III it has 2 PCMCIA type II slots stacked that can take 2 type II cards or 1 type III card) both (listed as "Texas Instruments PCI-1031 PCMCIA Controller" using driver version number 5.1.2600.0) with BANGS in system device manager in windowsXPhome. I have fiddled and fiddled and cannot get the thing to work. I have an old Hitachi MPEG camera that is GREAT and has a type III PC Card in it and I would love to be able to move pictures over by that means inasmuch as the camera does NOT have a cable connection to any ports (neither USB nor legacy). The BANGS say "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)...
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. You need to restart your computer before the changes you made to this device will take affect." I already tried doing that and nothing was any better. I installed/uninstalled ad nauseum. I am flummoxed!! What is the problem here?
