Hi guys

I have just acquired a Compaq Deskpro with 866 MHz CPU.

I'm having a very hard time finding drivers/spec for this machine. Everytime I Google it always comes up with sites to buy from, not the info I'm looking for.

A pointer would really be nice

Did you try going to the manufacturer's website? That is the first place I would look. Type in the model number and they will almost possitively have the specs there.

I might have come into HP's site from a side page cause I was looking for this stuff for about 2 hours and every page that I got to said that the download page had been moved.

Possibly your problem was because HP and Compaq have merged. I got there, however, with a fairly straightforward Google (http://www.google.ie/search?hl=en&q=compaq+support&btnG=Google+Search&meta=) and then hit the deskpro link.

Also there are no numbers, names or any chips that would give me a clue as to what what the board is. Anyway, was able to use your earlier link plus another couple hours on Google to get everything I needed.
