I have two questions for the big dogs tonight:
1. When installing a motherboard into a case, does the motherboard have to be insulated from the case? That is, do I need to have some little insulating washers of some kind on the top and bottom of the motherboard in order to make sure it is completely insulated? It seems that the metal stand-off's don't have any insulation at all.
2. Pertaining to Dual Channel Memory Technology: My motherboard manual indicates that two identical sticks of memory need to be installed in slots 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 in order for the dual channel memory to be activated. I purchased what I thought were two identical Kingston 512mb memory sticks but as I look closer one is a KVR333X64C25/512 made in South Korea and the other is a KVR333/512 made in the USA. Both are PC2700 CL2.5. Are these identical enough? If they are not, is there potential to hurt my motherboard.
I would be grateful for any advice!
