I miss pass really so I can't go into My Windows. Help me go into Bios for cleaning password.
Are there any software or root pass to crack Bios. It can't clear by moving battery or jump (for clear pass) because mainboard not support. It still ask me for password.
If know, please sharing me, Thanks.

You can't get into windows? or you can't get into the BIOS (CMOS Setup)?
By the tone of your message, I would assume that you are looking to get into the BIOS. What is the BIOS version.

If you didn't set the password yourself, try a couple of default passwords that are commonly used, like <leave blank>, admin, pass, password, lab, and try them in upper and lower case. If that doesn't work, go to the next step.

You're sure that there is no "clear password" jumper. That would be quite odd if the battery onboard is not removable. Is the battery a built in battery like Dallas brand? or is it just a watch battery that is ssoldered to the board? Can you stick a piece of paper between the top of the battery and the top prong?

Ive read somewhere that if ya remove or "kill" the battery to erase the passwords that it could take hours or may a day to clear the Cmos although everyone ive had to do was 5 minute job.

if you had forgotten your windows password, i cant help you with that.

if you want to clear the password in your CMOS, remove the battery then turn the pc on for a few seconds. this will reset the CMOS to its default setting. Return the battery. You can now manipulate your CMOS.

But, I'm sure you'll still want to remember your windows password because CMOS password is completely different from your Windows password.

Seen some articles and links about this, but can't remember where. THe general idea though was that bios manufacturers leave a backdoor into the system.
for example, if it is an AMI bios, try A-M-I as the password.

Hi there!

If your CMOS password is a system password (ie it asks for the pass as soon as the system is booted), then the only way to clear it (afaik) is to remove the CMOS battery and leave the machine alone for 30 mins to a day (depending on your mainboard) or else set a jumper which might be there on the motherboard for the purpose.

If your CMOS password is a user password (ie it just won't let you get into the BIOS but will boot normally otherwise), then you can do the following:

Boot into command prompt either from a startup disk or from the Windows startup options (accesible by holding down the F8 key while winodows is booting)

Then type the following (pressing enter at the end of each line) EXACTLY as shown below.

debug

0 70 12

0 71 12

q

The last 'q' or quit command gets you back into command prompt. Reboot. This should clear your CMOS user password.

Hope this helps you.

P.S. If it's the Windows password you've lost then we need to know which version of Windows you're running. There's a workaround to all lost Windows passwords!!
