I have to solve a peculiar problem I have with (both) serial ports.
I have connected 6 different devices (through selector switches) to the two serial ports, all of them were working properly.
After a Hard Disk failure, I installed all the software I had in a new HD.
Previous system was Win Me (added on top of Win 95), new is again Win Me (added on top of Win 98 SE).
Now nothing works properly! I tested communication (by Hyper Terminal and by a simple progam that I made in VB 6.0), and I discovered that the higher speed I could communicate was 57600. I choosed a short cable and I achieved speed 115200, but only by mine testing software.
I can connect to Internet, setting port's max speed to 57600, but the modem software (Ring Central) does not communicate properly with the modem (I can't read the stored faxes in modem's memmory). Also both programs (Nokia and Oxygen)connecting to my mobile phone (Nokia 6310), do not detect the phone, while when I connect phone to cable, phone understands that it is connected.
Does anyone can help?
