When my W98 box boots I get a small dialog box that says:
": the system cannot find the specified file". I searched and can't find any solutions.

Any thoughts?

I would first look into the autoexec.bat and config.sys files. Check to see what programs or files their trying to load at startup. Then check your starup folder.

Thanks, you were right. I checked msconfig and one of those stupid topmoxie...things loaded itself in there. I unchecked it and sure enough. I must have checked that five times before. Oh well, fixed now.
