OK, this is gonna get technical!!!!!!!!! :)
I am looking for any information on building/making/ or buying a pc card that fits into the pc card slot on a notebook. Attatched to this card is a cable that is attatched to a box. Inside the box is pci slots 1-13 usually. The box enables you to use pci-cards in your laptop as internal components. Its a brilliant pice of technology. I am going to acquire a laptop very soon and i was looking to upgrade it. The usual mem and hard drive but what about the stuff that cannot be upgraded, like the video? This box enables u to put sound cards/video vards/ nics or anything with the pci interface to be used with your laptop. A pci video not the greatest, but sure kicks the integrated 64mb shared. My problem is this box for two pci slots is over a thousand dollars!!!! I need information on acquiring the box itself or the components to build my own.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION PLEASE RESPOND!!!!!!!!!!!

The actual component is made buy magma and here is a url to the site

THANK YOU

I have one really silly question:

WHY?

All you can add is scsi or firewire. If it's not built in, just use USB 2.0. Apple is adding USB to the MAC so it appears USB is going to overtake firewire. You will not be able to add a sound, video or NIC card, so again I ask WHY??????
