First: (husband & I...experience = built our own computer two years ago, worked fine from start, also an Asus mb)

Well, we were up late last night assembling a new computer, 733eb INTELL CPU on Asus CUSL-2 mb/128 ps-133sdram/20gig Ultra ATA 100 hd....
and the first thing we noticed at first power up was **CPU fan not on**...extra muffin fan not on also, but not a worry at this point...)
we have double checked the connection and poured over manual, can't find problem....this is brand new boxed CPU and fan/heatsink)... what next?

TIA, Maddy

Put a voltmeter on the power going to the fan and see if it has power. If so, then you must have a broke fan and need to get a new one.

I had exactly the same thing (processor fan not powered) and I eventually had to get it replaced by the manufacturer. BQ
