i have the same problem when i update my drivers for my video card and 4 in 1. after it does this does yours lock up too? mine does i just dont get it. i found that older drivers work great. one prob is i cant run xp due to this grapic problem like yours. they all run updated drivers.

No harm to just boot into safe mode and then boot normally and also run an antivirus scan.

Have you checked your DisplayProperties (Effects and Settings) and the Display adapter and Monitor in Device Manager.

Can you just restore hardware settings if it is a Compaq pc?

Thx for helpng guys , but I or it fixed it noe ,, http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif all's I did was boot into safe mode and it was ok but I scan disk , and defrag ,,and all was good after a normal boot

no mamba it does'nt lock up
