I'm trying to figure out why my motherboard ethernet connection isn't being recognized when I boot up windows. I've installed the nvidia drivers, etc..., but no luck.
I have a Chaintech nforce4 Ultra MB and can't figure out for the life of me why it won't recognize the connection.
Anybody know where I can start off?

Jiggy is starting you out in the right place. How do you it is not recognized?
Is it missing from evice manager?
Is there a problem with it in device manager.
Not rerally enough info to go on....

It's not even listed in the Device Manager.
I'll reboot and check the BIOS right now.

Thank you Jiggy, that was exactly what was going on. It was disabled in BIOS. I appreciate it. Yet another problem solved by the pcguide guys. Awesome!!!

And another problem bites the dust at PCG! This 'High Five' goes to Jiggy as he runs to the sidelines for a fresh towel... Way to go Jiggy! :D

Make sure it is the right type of cable. Some have 2 or 4 conductors and the correct one needs 8
