I was wondering if anyone know's what "MBGFRV.32 error in EEC0232.ecc" means? When ever this error comes up it locks my computer up and nothing works exept manual shut down. I've got an old pentium and 60megs of ram. Also I am running WinMe, and when I boot up it boots right into safe mode.
If you could offer any suggestions it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

This is a windows message server so it would be hard to define exactly what the problem is . Msgsrv32.exe is a program that runs invisibly on the Windows desktop and performs several background functions necessary for Windows operation. These functions include:
· Mediate Plug and Play messages among various parts of the operating system. Not sure what you have going on here this could be anything have you tried a system restore to see if this goes away?
has this been happening long or just started?
have you D/L anything lately? or changed the file system in anyway?

I haven't tried a system restore, not too sure how to go about that either. This problem has been ongoing for a month or more. I haven't deleted anything significant or changed the file system.

I don't know if it will take it back that far but it is worth a try go to start>Programs>Accessories>system tools>system restore, there will be a calender, go back as far as you can remember it working and follow the on screen instructions. It will either take the sys. back or it will tell you that it cannot. It's pretty simple to do and can't really harm anything.
Do a CTRL/ALT/DEL on back ground programs that are running to speed up the process first just leave systray and Explore shut everything else down.
I cannot find anything on this error message. it could have something to do with the memeory,or a modem not sure maybe when everyone else gets out of work they can shed some lite on this but i would try to do a system restore that way we can eliminate that.

Steve.V.R,
Yoda made mention of possible system memory being a problem. That would be my suspicion. With only 60MB of RAM and WinMe you've probably not much room to "stretch!"
After you boot up have a look at your Task Menu...Ctrl+Alt+Del and let us know what's running. Also, you could take a look at your available system memory...START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>SYSTEM TOOLS>SYSTEM INFORMATION and see how much is remaining after startup.
Also, are you sure of the file and overall error message being accurate?
