Got a problem after I plugged a new multimedia IBM keyboard with USB ports... the keyboard functions on the First screen when you start the computer (the one from where you enter the setup) and then it stops functioning till the log in screen appears on WINDOWS XP.... I cannot use the space key incases I am booting from a bootable CD..... Nor can I enter in the safe mode... Every time I need to plug-in my old keyboard again... please help

try using some other usb port :p

That's a characteristic of USB hardware that can be especially awkward with keyboard and mouse!
The USB drivers are not loaded under some circumstances, and at those times USB devices won't work.
Thats why I've connected my USB/PS2 wireless keyboard/mouse combination to the PS2 ports. So they will work under all circumstances.
