View Full Version : Swallows up my sound properties!

After installing a media player downloaded from the Internet, I couldn't manage my volume properties anymore. There are no options in the Preferences of this little software that helps me make any change, since if I turn the volume down, then turn this player off and again open another player to play a song, the loudest sound level I can hear is still the same as the previous media I mentioned.
Do you think if it is possible to have many different sound cards at the same time on one computer ? :D
If it is, could you tell me how to add them to my computer and schedule each of music player software to deal with each of them smoothly ?
Do I sound crazy, ridiculous, stupid etc ? Please clear up my doubts ?
Thank you very much!
The easiest way to check if the media player that you just d/l is causing the problem is to uninstall it.
If the problem goes away, then it was the culprit.

What operating system are you using?
If its not too much for you, whats the name of that media player?
What about the systems(os) volume control? Can't u use it?

I am sorry for being late because I had to think up some plans to do...
It's real player :( running on WinXp, and as I said, it eats up my Os volume control already, if i click the button "Volume" to call the properties window up, error message pops up right then saying that "Windows can't excecute sndvol32, try to reinstall".
That is one thing, plus the thing I said previously equals two things.
Do you know any other software that can play rm/ram files ? I used to have Jet Audio but it is old, incompatible, another software I found in www.download.com 3 years ago but it was to be defined exclusively for linux game sound. Its interface doesnot look good but its sound playing is really cool that atracts quite many Linux users and that I think if it is reprogrammed by linux programmers for more beautiful an interface, I would change my mind about Linux system.
Do you have any suggestions ?
Thank you in advance.
P.S Please forgive my bad English, my native language is not English.
