You need to give more details of the precise nature of the problem. I don't understand what is meant by reboot disk on the hard drive. If you need a startup disk see if you can borrow a "Windows 98" startup disk form a friend or download from here http://www.bootdisk.com.
Why do you need a boot disk?

jodiar I have had a closer look at your note, are you talking about two operating systems on a partitioned drive? If you are try the link below - you can download a bootdisk from there.

all I know is I have a c drive which is my main then there is a d drive which says backup. I was told to hit delete when you start the computer to go into setup and your supposed to be able to format cand copy d to it to reboot the system but i dont know the exact commands.

Hold on a minute jodair don't do anything you may regret here. Booting up the computer is one thing formatting the c: drive is another.
If you format the hard drive you will lose everything on it, including the operating system, Window 98 in your case. Is this what you want?
The basic computer will have an A: drive - which is your 3 and 1/2 inch floppy drive. This is where you would put a start up disk if you have a problem starting the computer in the normal way.
The D: drive is usually your CD ROM drive or DVD drive, and the C: drive is as you say the main drive which is located on the hard disk. If you do not have a Windows 98 cd disk it maybe your friend downloaded this disk onto the hard drive. I'm only guessing!
Going into Setup by pressing delete when you switch on allows you to change your BIOS setting - not advisable if you are a complete novice.
What actually happens when you switch on? Try and give more information about the problem you are having! If we all know what it is we can help.
Thanks
