Before I turn on my computr, I always need to short the two pins of Hareware SMI once. Otherwise the computer will not be booted if the computer has been shut down for a while. After booting the computer, I can reboot it without shorting the Hardware SMI again if I boot it in a short time. By the way, what is Hareware SMI . Could anybody teach me how to fix the problem? The mortherboard is Titanium IB.

The time on the computer will stop when the compuer has been shut down.
Hardware SMI....hmm got me?
Your best bet would be trying to find a manual for your board.
Also sounds like you may have a dead battery......the battery is what keeps the clock going when the power is off, also on many systems it what keeps the settings in CMOS.....
http://www.qdi.nl/support/download/TXIB.htm for info on your board....
