:rolleyes: new pc win xp, when trying to open my drive it say's cannot open f drive, any idea's ???????????????

Hi Nancy,
I think we will need a bit more info :rolleyes: I assume (based on thread title) it is your DVD drive. Do you have a known good disk in the drive? Is this a store bought comp or did you build it? Have you double checked all connections? Has it ever worked? What is the exact message (copy and past if you can)? How are you trying to access it? Have you checked in Device Manager to see if there are any problems? Can you test the drive in another machine?

I will think of some more and get back to you ;) :D

:cool: Yes my new pc 1year old bought at store, and device manager fine i already unstalled drivers and reinstalled them, have not checked connections, and never tryed it till now, It wont autoload, so went to my computer and right clicked on the drive" whew"ok howabout some info :)

Sorry Nancy, missed your last responses;) If this machine is that new, it should still be under warranty. I would take it back to where you got it and have them correct the problem.
Along with that, we could still use answers to all the questions i asked earlier ;)
