Have you tried a know working power plug, like one that is attached to the hard drive?

Yes, I have a dual plug connected to a fan and the CD-Drive, the fan works and the burner does not open.

No it's known to work. only one of the legs works...
Swap the hard drive and CD-ROM power plug. If the CD-works and the drive doesn;t it's the plug. If not the either the drive is bad or there is NOT enough power to run all the devices.....

Should a 480 W power supply be able to run 2 CD-Burners, 1 DVD Burner, 1 160GB HD, motherboard, front display, and three fans? I will try and switch the plugs, thanks your help.

I tried every power connector coming out of the power supply, none of them ran the burner, is it possible for the IDE cable to be causing this problem?

The pwer supply is Ok, the questions is does it have power? Can you open the drawer.
Please be explicit...

No, I cannot open the draw of the drive. The computer itself will turn on and I can run it though the BIOS set-up (haven't installed any software yet), but all three of the draws will not open.

Also, I'd try those burners in another system and see if they work. If they do, then one other avenue is to detach everything except for one of those burners and see what happens. Also, are those reputable burners? Does your bios see them? Finally, to rule out ide channel problems (BTW, is that a brand new mobo?), does your bios see your hdd or anything else on either of your ide channels? Good luck.

Disconnect the ide cable and then try opening the tray. If it opens, the PSU is ok.
